Because Virginia Weather is Weird

One of the benefits of unpredictable weather is that you can end up with some really nice days when you least expect them. Most of the kids’ winter break from school was like this. Nick had to go back to work after Christmas, but we got to explore the outdoor woods.

Max and Min have been exploring several times before and they were eager to show us all what they had found. If this bridge had been any higher it would have been scary. I can’t wait until they’re old enough to learn about the Mines of Moria from Lord of the Rings!

When Nick got home we had a bonfire. Or, “bond-fir” as the dudes call it. It was a good winter break.
