Our First Fundraiser!

Will You Help Support the Site?

Friends! We have been at this new website location for almost 3 months now! It’s a little hard to believe, but there it is. To finally have a nice, permanent home on the web is a great feeling.

We’ve had so much fun so far writing stories about cooking, and restaurant reviews, and fun visits to interesting places, and just about big family life in general. We believe in the proper care and feeding of large families, both physical food and spiritual nourishment. We would love to continue spinning stories for you for as long as possible. To do so, we are going to need a bit of your help.

Asking for money is never fun, but let me break it down for you. We have plans to grow our little operation here to include more kinds of content and offerings from more contributors. We would like to travel farther afield for our VA Eats series; there are fantastic places to review in Roanoke and Waynesboro and Richmond and several other places that lie a little farther from our homestead. We’d also like to invite guest contributors to come on and tell a little bit about their stories. Furthermore, our oldest son is a natural showman who loves to bake, and we are looking at making a little cooking show just for him on YouTube. All of these things cost money.

We are asking for a total of $1,500 over the next 30 days, and our campaign is over at GoFundMe.com. This will fund our expanding operations here until the end of 2019, setting us up for even greater success in 2020.

Care to help us succeed? Visit our fundraising page! And if you cannot contribute financially just yet, we always appreciate a share on Facebook or Twitter or wherever you share stuff with your friends. Again, the link is here at GoFundMe.com.

Cheers!
